Hey Chris,

My name is Michael Beevers and I recently had fractured my ankle. I would like to thank you for giving me the $500 cheque. It is a pleasure being a member of the SDA

Thanks,

Michael.

Dear Mr Ketter,

I would like to thank you and the union for the secondary education scholarship of $80. It made my day when I received the letter and I am so grateful for the contribution.
Being in year 12 I have a lot of extra stuff going on with school and it is a great help to my parents.
Thankyou so much!

Yours gratefully,
Alexa Fa’alogo

Dear Chris,

I am writing to say “Thank you” to yourself and Darryn Gaffy for your assistance re my redundancy pay.

Anthea Crawford has deposited the money due in my bank account.

This has been a very stressful time for me, so it is very rewarding being able to get assistance from the union of which I was a member.

Thank you

Yours sincerely

Ellen J Polser.

Hi

My name is Leslie Blay and I was working at Bunnings Warehouse in Toowoomba. I have now left Bunnings for a new position at Uni of Southern Queensland.

I don’t have my membership number on me, but request that the fees I pay via payroll deduction cease from the day of receipt of this email.

I must say that it has been a privilege to be a member of this union, and I have received nothing but 100% support from both your office and the shop stewards at Bunnings.

Thanks again

Leslie Blay

Dear Chris,

I have been a member of the SDA for many years and in that time I have been a very contented member.

I work in a large store and my manager wanted to change my roster. In the past, I have always been able to work these things out with my manager but this time she dug her heels in and would not budge.

After three days I contacted my organiser Claire and she was fantastic. We had a series of meetings with the company and the company modified its position. Claire told me she would speak to Peita at the union office to see whether we should escalate my problem.

I met with Peita and both Claire and Peita worked on my case. After two months we made some real headway with the roster which is great. I now feel I have my life back.

I decided to write this letter because I wanted to inform you that both Claire and Peita helped me enormously. Chris, I wanted to also tell you that best of all, they cared. They truly cared.

Thank you,
