Wednesday, 2 September 2015 the SDA met again with Woolworths and interested parties.

Woolworths came to the table with a new offer and most of this offer would be supported by our members; however, the SDA still believe the wage increase is too low. We came away from this meeting feeling like we are much closer to an agreement than we have been.

The company has asked us to consider our position and we have asked the company to do the same, especially in relation to the wage increase. We will be meeting again this Friday and the company is bringing in National Management to see if they can help move negotiations along.

We know that workers want us to come to an agreement sooner rather than later but it will always be the stance of the SDA that it has got to be the right agreement with a fair and decent pay rise for all workers.

We have managed to negotiate closer to what our members want but we wont stop until we reach a deal we know our members will support.
