On Sunday 12th June, Chris Gazenbeek was approached by channel 7 to give comment on the National Retail Associations recently submitted trading hours application. The application seeks to increase trading hours in 9 major shopping centres in South East Qld in the week leading up Christmas.

The SDA will consult with our members on this issue. We know this extension will cut into important family time for our members and could negatively impact the work life balance we fight hard to maintain. It is crucial workers have their say on this change to their working life. We will keep you posted.
