SDA Negotiations for Coles Parkinson CDC Agreement Update Four
Today, all SDA delegates and the officials met with the Company for a short meeting.
The Company put a preliminary offer on the table for us to consider.
The Company’s offer included improvements to:
- Assigning Public Holiday work;
- Domestic Violence Leave;
- Compassionate Leave;
- Redundancy;
- Payment for forklift licencing.
These improvements were welcomed but in some cases we had to let the Company know that the improvements did not go far enough.
The offer also included changes to new team members’ probationary rates and periods, and the permanent to casual ratio.
We have not completely rejected these items but we have told the Company that the changes they are seeking go too far.
We have advised the Company that the wage offer they put on the table was not an insignificant offer, but there needed to be more in the offer, especially if the Company was looking for a long term agreement.
If you have any question or would like to provide feedback, make sure you see your SDA delegates Adelaide, Kuresa, and Lii.
These are Your Rates and Your Rights and we will be doing our best to keep you updated and make sure everyone benefits from a great new agreement.
We will be meeting again with the Company on Monday of next week.
